Natural or Lab-Grown Diamonds: What Should You Compare?

Natural or Lab-Grown Diamonds: What Should You Compare?

Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They share essentially the same chemical composition and physical properties. Natural diamonds form within the Earth, while lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled laboratory environment. The main difference is their origin.

We offer both, so you can choose what fits your preferences and budget.

Compare individual stones, not just labels

At Easterly Wholesale Diamonds, we offer both natural and lab-grown options. Start with your finished-ring budget and preferred shape. Then compare the stone's measurements, quality information, report where provided, and video where available. Two diamonds of the same carat weight can have different dimensions and appearances.

Read the report and listing carefully

Confirm the diamond's origin and match its report number to the listing. Look at the information supplied for that particular stone instead of assuming all diamonds have the same documentation. Ask us to clarify anything you do not understand before purchasing.

Think about the whole ring

Your chosen diamond must work with the setting you select. Consider the overall design, metal, practical wear and total price. In Ring Studio, the setting price excludes the center diamond; check the completed combination before checkout.

Which choice is right for me?

If natural origin matters to you, focus your comparison on natural diamonds. If you want to explore lab-grown choices, compare the available stones within the same total budget. Neither label replaces looking closely at the particular diamond and ring.

We do not promise investment returns or future resale value. Choose a ring you want to wear and can comfortably afford.
